The author served for many years in India and, during that time, traveled in Ladakh or Lesser Tibet, Nepal and Sikkim. He and his wife have kept many dogs at various times, but none have gained their affection more than those of the Tibetan breeds. The stories told in this book are true, and the many amusing and interesting incidents related show vividly the unusual and delightful characteristics of these dogs. The author was Vice-Chairman of the Tibetan Breeds Association.
