Karuna means compassion in
sanskrit, and compassion is the heart of Tibetan culture and spiritual
tradition. In Tibet one can almost not escape from the symbols and reminders of
compassion in every day life, no matter where one travels. We find them carved
on the rocks, printed on prayer flags, recited by small children to the most
elderly person. Karuna is sang in songs. told in children's stories, performed
in the form of state operas, dramas and in many other ways. |
